Sam & Mike’s Story

Sam Griffo and Mike McLaughlin were more than just friends – they were brothers – both on the lacrosse field and off. To attempt to describe their friendship – and their bond – is an almost insurmountable task.

But for two kids that grew up in the small town of Camillus, NY – one thing is for sure – they bled blue and gold and they were there for each other through thick and thin. Not only did they share a love for their family, friends, and lacrosse they shared a love to help people in any way they could. Both guys loved with all their hearts – and are missed by many.

This is to honor their lives, their commitment to friendship and teamwork, and to help future West Genesee graduates reach their dreams.
